Is YOUR child sitting safely?

As the nature of my business may suggest, I am extremely passionate about cars and consider driving a pleasure. Because I’m on the road a lot visiting my branches, I’ve seen some terrible road traffic accidents and it has made me even more aware of car safety – especially where children are involved.

As a father, grandfather and even great grandfather, I am very conscious that all the children are safe when they are travelling in the car. Such is my concern that I’m delighted to announce my company’s association with the Scottish In-Car Child Safety Initiative for the 6th year running.

Over the last few years we have made great progress in increasing child safety on the road - but we mustn’t be complacent! As previous campaigns have shown, two thirds of children in cars are still not properly restrained, so we still have some way to go.

The aim of this campaign is simple – to heighten awareness of children’s safety in cars and hopefully reduce the number of children’s casualties caused in road traffic accidents.

This website highlights areas where we could all improve on our children’s safety in cars and offers some good advice about child car seats.
